Not everyone aspires to science from childhood. Sometimes a person is engaged in practical activities for a long time and does not even think about it. But all it takes is a little research to discover your new talent. Publication of the methodological development will help:
- Take the first step into science. You may enjoy doing it and find your purpose.
- Find a topic for future research. It’s difficult to choose it from scratch: what if it doesn’t work, there’s not enough material. Why else would you publish?
Certifications take place every five years, but professional activity does not stop between them. And if the teacher has something to share, it is better not to miss the opportunity to publish methodological developments. There are many reasons for this:
- Filling out a personal website. Modern teachers create web resources where they present themselves as specialists. A website looks solid if it has a page with the owner’s publications.
- Professional prestige. Links to presented methodological developments are a big plus in a resume. A teacher who has them is more in demand.
- Experience exchange. Articles like these are the best way to spread small discoveries. If you were able to improve preschool education a little, it’s worth teaching your colleagues the same. And then you can learn something useful from them.
- Authority in the eyes of parents. Today, mothers and fathers are sure to “break through” teachers and educators on the Internet. Publications in magazines build a reliable reputation.
In an era when teaching staff are in a race for portfolios, it is impossible to do without published methodological developments. If you didn’t present the results of your work to the interested public, consider them not working.

Does the law require educators to publish?
According to paragraph 2 of the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia dated April 7, 2014 No. 276, teaching staff must undergo mandatory certification. This is how they confirm their suitability for the positions they hold. You can test yourself voluntarily if you intend to upgrade your category. This is not only a matter of prestige, but also an increase in salary.
But does this apply to educators? In paragraph 1 of this order we see that its effect extends to teaching positions from subsection 2 of section 1 of the nomenclature. It was approved by Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated 08.08.2013 No. 678. In the subsection of interest, the teacher is listed first. This means that working at a preschool educational institution also requires certification.
To pass it, the employer prepares a presentation, including an assessment of the professional qualities and results of the work activity of the person being assessed. And now we come to the most interesting part.
