Preparatory stage and goals
The modern New Year's scenario for the preparatory group of a kindergarten has little in common with a banal masquerade, suggesting that the holiday will be held in several stages, each of which will carry its own functional load. And first of all, we are talking about all kinds of techniques aimed at stimulating child development and socialization, on which the further development of a little person in society largely depends.
Main tasks
When drawing up a script for the New Year for a preparatory group based on fairy tales and cartoons, educators or representatives of animation groups, who are also often involved in holding special events for the little ones, must take into account a number of very important nuances. And first of all, we mean tasks aimed at developing certain skills in children. This list includes:
- Maximum disclosure of creative abilities and artistry of all participants of the holiday, through their involvement in various types of activities.
- Using unusual techniques that can give children a lot of new experiences.
- Ensuring a positive emotional mood and maximum response from all children, for which it will be necessary to involve several specialists at once monitoring the process.
- Introducing active games and entertainment in the form of songs and dances, with special attention to those children who are shy and reluctant to take part in such activities.
- Training in the rules of behavior at holidays, which can be carried out either in an unobtrusive form or in the form of preliminary instruction carried out during holiday rehearsals, if any.
- Instilling communication skills and the habit of speaking in a team.
- Development of aesthetic taste, fantasy and imagination.
In addition, it is very important to instill in children a love of traditions by decorating the Christmas tree together with them and conducting other preparatory activities that tend to give the strongest and most reverent feeling of the holiday.
It is important to understand that the right attitude and preparation are the key to success in any celebration, and the New Year's carnival for preschoolers is not an exception to the rule in this regard.
Holiday decoration
To maintain a festive atmosphere, the room in which the matinee will be held must be decorated in a style appropriate to the holiday. Ideally, this stage of preparation should be carried out together with children and their parents, which will create in the little participants a feeling of their own importance and irreplaceability.
To decorate the interior, it is not at all necessary to use expensive equipment, which can be created with your own hands from the available materials. So, in addition to the New Year tree, which, of course, should be alive and real, it is quite possible to build some kind of stage with heavy plush curtains, as well as plywood decorations that imitate nature, city and village buildings, and some that are difficult to reach due to certain circumstances interior items.
As a rule, such structures are a thin sheet of plywood placed on a perpendicular support, cut out according to a pre-applied stencil, which is pasted over the front side with thick paper. After this sheet has dried, it can be painted and painted, which is necessary to imitate a natural landscape, building or object. Perhaps this is the easiest way to construct a hut on chicken legs, the ice palace of the Snow Queen, overseas kingdom-states, a mysterious snow-covered forest or any other complex decorations.
In addition, the administration of the preschool educational institution can rent such decorations, turning to special carnival stores and costume shops for help.
Do not forget about such budget equipment as rain, garlands, balls and snowflakes, despite the fact that the latter decoration can also be made with children, using newfangled three-dimensional paper designs and other original ideas to create a unique festive atmosphere.
Costumes and accessories
The modern market offers a huge assortment of New Year's costumes with different quality and price, allowing you to choose not only the good old outfit of Father Frost and the Snow Maiden, but also many other images. Flowers, fairies, butterflies, princesses, princesses, kings, supermen, vampires, sorcerers, Harry Potters, animals and even giant mushrooms - there really are a lot of options for a wonderful transformation.
In order not to spend extra money, all these costumes and the accessories that come with them can be rented, as well as decorations and other New Year paraphernalia.
In addition, you can make them yourself, using clothes that have lost their relevance and any other available materials as a basis.
So, the following raw materials can be used:
- Foil for modeling crowns, moons, crystals, icicles, magic staffs and other New Year's paraphernalia.
- Cotton wool, from which the most realistic snowdrifts and snowmen are made.
- Materials used to make papier-mâché (newspaper, PVA glue, brushes), from which very realistic mushrooms, fabulous fruits and other decorative elements emerge.
- Dry leaves. There is plenty of such goodness in any autumn yard, and you shouldn’t rush to get rid of it, especially if the theme of the New Year’s party will be closely related to the seasons and their changes.
- Old faux or natural fur, from which you can make mittens, stuffed animals, imitation bear or fox skins (relevant for the theme of the little robber from the fairy tale “The Snow Queen” and other interesting New Year’s productions).
- Bright synthetic wigs, balloons, nose tips, if you suddenly want to organize an unconventional circus-themed matinee. As a basis for such a presentation, you can take a storyline from the beloved cartoon about the pig Funtik.
- Burlap, birch bark, thin rods, a samovar, forged or wooden chests, old linen tablecloths, red polka dot fabric. It would seem that the set is quite simple, but it can be used to create wonderful costumes and surroundings for a New Year’s fairy tale, based on the cartoon “The Adventures of a Brownie” about naughty Kuzya, who was stolen by the ownerless Baba Yaga.
- Colorful scarves with floral prints, beets, colored cardboard for kokoshniks, sundresses, white shirts, red boots are excellent materials for staging another favorite Russian folk tale, “Morozko”.
It is important to remember that a great matinee will be one that is based on the favorite theme of a particular children’s group and it is not at all necessary to closely connect it with the theme of winter. So, if the group is studying the fairy tales of Pushkin and Ershov, then you can stage a scene with heroes, mermaids or the miracle whale fish.
An unusual, but definitely funny and memorable matinee based on the plot of Carol's Alice will be.
Funny skits and competitions
Agree, the more unusual the idea, the more interesting and exciting the holiday itself will be. In what style can you spend a New Year's party?
The most fascinating and unusual can be called the following - this is the invasion of New Year's aliens, the miracle of the Barboskins' Christmas tree, a journey into a New Year's fairy tale.
And this is not a complete list of unusual ideas. But the most important thing that should not be forgotten is that any holiday must include a large variety of fun and varied competitions. What games and competitions should be noted first?
- Firstly, New Year's bags. It sounds very tempting and intriguing. Two children can take part in each round of this New Year's game. The presenter gives them each a bag, decorated in a New Year's style, and invites them to go to the table, on which there are two medium-sized cardboard boxes containing small unbreakable Christmas tree decorations, New Year's figurines and other items. The presenter blindfolds the children and offers to collect as many New Year's items as possible into a bag, observing one condition: participants can take only one item from the box and put it into the bag at a time. The competition takes place with musical accompaniment. After 30-45 seconds, the music stops, the children are untied and asked to look at the contents of the bags. The winner is the participant who has the most New Year-themed items in the bag.
- Secondly, “Christmas tree with a surprise.” What is attractive about this competition? To prepare for this New Year's game, you will need a little more effort and time than in the previous version. You need to make a mock-up of a Christmas tree out of cardboard. Holes are cut in it to imitate Christmas balls. On the reverse side of the layout, a bag is attached under each hole (but you can do without them). The presenter gives the participants 5 small balls. The player's task is to get them into the cut holes. The one who hits the most times wins. He takes the main prize, which can be hidden for the time being on the branches of the main tree.
- Thirdly, Decorate the Christmas tree. Agree, this is one of the most favorite activities not only for children, but also for adults. To play this New Year's game for children, you need two small artificial Christmas trees and a couple of cardboard boxes with unbreakable Christmas tree decorations. Christmas trees are placed at a distance of 2-4 meters from the boxes. The leader divides the children into two equal teams. Each person approaches their starting line, located at the toy box. At the command of the presenter, the game participants take turns decorating the Christmas tree. Each player can take only one toy at a time. The winner is the team that empties its box of toys and decorates the Christmas tree faster than its opponents.
- Fourth, collect snowballs. 3-4 teams can participate in the game at the same time. You should prepare in advance a lot of small white balloons (these will be snowballs) and large garbage bags. You need to make something like bloomers out of the bags, cutting off the two lower corners enough for your legs to fit through the holes. Before the start of the competition, it is necessary to select one participant from each team; they will need to crawl into the prepared bags, and the rest, at the command of the leader, will have to fill their bag with balls. The team that puts the most snowballs in its bag wins.
- Fifthly, New Year's cap. The players form a circle. Cheerful New Year's music is turned on, and the children begin to pass the New Year's cap around. Periodically the music stops. The participant who happens to have the cap in his hands when the music stops puts it on his head and fulfills the wish of Santa Claus. Grandfather Frost may wish to be sung a song, told a poem, asked a riddle, or danced. Everyone who fulfills his wish receives a sweet prize.
- Sixth, remove all the needles from the tree. Two blindfolded participants stand in a circle of fans. 10 clothespins are attached to each participant's clothing. At the leader’s command, the guys must help each other get rid of the clothespins as quickly as possible. Everyone takes part in turn, with clothespins being attached to different places each time.
- Seventh, the Wolf Hare. A fairly simple competition, the main thing is not to mix up the actions. The guys are divided into teams, the participants of which stand in a row. At the command “start”, the first team members jump to the tree like bunnies, and run back on all fours like wolves, pass the baton to the second participants, the second participants do the same. The team in which all the guys have time to be hares and wolves will be the winner, that is, the guys who finish the relay race faster than the rest will win.
And this is not a complete list of all those competitions and games that children will definitely enjoy and cheer them up.
Best idea for a screenplay
Schwartz’s “12 Months” has always been considered an ideal fairy tale for organizing a New Year’s party in a kindergarten. Nothing has changed even now, because its plot has everything necessary - the changing seasons, the New Year's spirit, and a miracle that suddenly happened. The characters in the work are also very colorful, and there are enough of them to perform for all the little artists.
As for the production itself, it can be based on a script, conditionally divided into the following stages:
- First episode. The events take place in the forest, where, surrounded by a beautiful Christmas tree, animals play with burners. There you also meet a soldier who is looking for a beautiful tree for the royal court and a girl who has come for brushwood. It is better to focus on the children's game between bunnies and squirrels humming a simple song.
- The second episode takes place in the royal palace, where the young queen is taught mathematics and literacy. The teacher dictates a poem to her about weed, but the girl makes many mistakes in it. A dispute ensues between them about natural possibilities, as a result of which the shrew orders that she urgently get a basket of the first spring flowers, despite the fact that it is December outside the window.
- Third episode. In a snowy forest, near a fire, twelve brothers-months, dressed in silver clothes, lead a cheerful round dance with the song “Burn, Burn Clearly.” Suddenly a lightly dressed girl comes out to the edge of the forest and tells these fellows that the evil stepmother and her daughter sent her to the forest for snowdrops on the orders of the queen. The elder winter months take turns passing the silver staff to each other until it reaches the middle spring month of April. Taking power, he begins his fishing, as a result of which many flowers appear in the clearing. As a farewell, he gives the girl a ring, telling her a saying that will help her call her brothers to help in case of trouble.
- The fourth episode takes place at the girl’s home, where her relatives, surprised by the full basket of flowers, are going to the palace. Soon they return home, puzzled by the queen’s new command, who wanted even more snowdrops. A dispute ensues between the stepmother, her own daughter and stepdaughter, as a result of which the girl’s ring, given by April, is taken away and sent into the bitter cold of the forest.
- Fifth episode. Events again take place in snowy scenery. In order to shorten the production, it can be shown that after the girl her cruel stepmother and daughter and the curious queen followed her with her retinue. An accidental fall of a ring into a snowdrift, its search and the pronunciation of a cherished saying leads to the appearance of twelve months at the edge of the forest, which fulfill the whim of the queen, her courtiers and the scandalous stepmother and daughter. At the same time, it is desirable to show how one season changes to another, not stopping at April, but continuing until December comes into force again.
- It all ends with the fact that the stepmother and daughter, who began to grumble against each other, turn into dogs, the queen learns to speak polite words, and the stepdaughter leaves in a carriage with April.
To ensure that the New Year's performance does not drag on and the little actors do not get bored, you can arrange short breaks for games and refreshments, which will be located in the same room on a separate table. Cookies, pies, natural juices and fruit drinks - all kids will enjoy such reinforcement. As for games, it is quite possible to arrange them right during skits (burners, riddles, round dances, etc.).
Don't forget about prizes , which can be purely symbolic, but equally enjoyable. Small sets of puzzles, sketchbooks, mini construction sets, slimes, chocolate eggs, coloring books—there really are a lot of good ideas at an affordable price that will cheer up and give inspiration to preschoolers.
In addition, you can organize all kinds of motivational competitions that help even the most modest and restrained children in their emotional manifestations to reveal their creative potential and feel more confident.
Such competitions can be in the nature of mini-quizzes or even a whole quest, while in it you will need to find a treasure or some other value (the same snowdrops, for the largest number of which the participant will receive his treasured reward or a medal made of cardboard and gold foil ).
