A good tradition of our kindergarten “Pupil’s Birthday”

For me, children's parties are special events. They are much more important than adult celebrations. I always prepare for my child’s birthday in advance, start looking for a suitable idea several months in advance, and then bring it to life.

Then he went to the garden and began to interact with his peers. On the day of my son’s third birthday, it was decided to hold an interesting holiday in the group.

In our country, birthday people are usually always congratulated, children and teachers dance in a round dance and play “Loaf”. We decided to celebrate our son's birthday as brightly and cheerfully as the rules of the preschool allow.

My holiday plan was this:

  • Animation congratulating the birthday boy in the music hall;
  • Tea drinking in a group;
  • Nice gifts for each child in the booth - sweet biscuit bears or lollipops.

Everything went well, but not quite according to plan.

Entertainment

Animator services are provided by our garden. The choice of heroes for the holiday, however, is limited. On the other hand, parents will not have to look for a presenter who has permission to work with children, and this is very important for me, a working mother with a shortage of free time.

The manager said that they have costumes of several popular cartoon characters, as well as a pirate and a clown. I immediately rejected Elsa from Frozen and Princess Sofia: these images are more suitable for girls. My son is a fan of “Paw Patrol,” “Baby Boys,” and “Blue Tractor,” but there were no such costumes in the garden. But there was a cartoon character about fixies that I liked. The animator led the program in the image of Nolik.

The children really enjoyed the fun competitions and soap bubble shows. There was also a mini-disco with songs for the kids. But the main thing is that my son was absolutely delighted. He found himself in the center of attention, everyone congratulated him, he was very pleased. He firmly remembered that now, when an adult asks your age, you have to show not two fingers, as before, but three!

How birthdays are traditionally celebrated in the garden

There are a lot of children in the garden, so sometimes it happens that all those born in the current month are congratulated on the same day - the so-called “October”, “December”. But, fortunately, this approach is already becoming a thing of the past, giving way to individual congratulations. Teacher of GBOU No. 1561 Oksana Kopylova told how children’s birthdays in their group are celebrated.

A classic birthday in the garden is based on traditions that have been preserved since Soviet times. At the entrance, in the locker room there is usually a poster “The Four Seasons”, where photographs of children are distributed by date of birth. Next to it is a postcard for a specific birthday person every day, so that the children can immediately see who needs to be congratulated today.

The congratulations are accompanied by the “Loaf” chant, familiar to everyone from childhood, with the birthday boy in the center. After several rounds of the round dance, the kids clap their hands and shout “Congratulations!” three times, wishing for something: for example, good friends or never quarrel with their mother. The birthday boy is given a gift. Usually parents bring it in advance, but the kids can add a drawing or toy of their own.

“Despite the fact that congratulations are repeated time after time, birthdays are always special holidays filled with kindness and comfort. The children's eyes light up, because in the garden they are almost in a family circle. But, of course, sometimes you want to diversify traditions,” says Oksana.

Tea party

After active dancing, the children in the group drank compote with a pie prepared by the cooks of our kindergarten. I agreed on this issue in advance with teachers and parents in our chat. It was planned that the treat would have chocolate filling, but some mothers wrote that their children had allergies. The pie was made with an apple, and this option suited everyone. It turned out very tasty. And I ordered pastries with chocolate filling for our teachers: I wanted to please them too. There was a reason for this: the parents from our group, including me, were not present at the holiday, but the teachers found a way to show us a piece of fun. They took some photos with their phones and recorded a short video. All information was posted in the general chat. Although it was a reportage shoot using ordinary smartphones, the parents were satisfied with the photo report.

How to diversify traditions

In kindergarten, it’s hard to turn every birthday into an extravaganza, but the following simple tips for teachers will help to add a touch of originality.

  1. Take your parents as “accomplices”

No one knows a child better than his parents. Shortly before the birthday, talk to them and find out what the child’s interests are and what he likes. This way it becomes clear how to organize a holiday so that the child enjoys it, and whether special props or additional preparation are needed.

The level of material investment depends on the wishes of the parents. Sometimes a life-size puppet is even ordered for the group. Alina Khvostik believes that a thousand rubles are enough for a spiritual holiday, if everything is well planned in advance.

  1. Come up with an original theme

Choose the theme of the holiday and build preparations based on the interests of the child. Even the hackneyed idea of a tea party becomes exciting again if the guests come from the same fairy tale, cartoon and the appropriate treat.

  1. Maintain a consistent style

Let the theme of the celebration be seen in everything: from the decoration of the group to congratulations, musical accompaniment, and games. It’s even better to choose a gift in her style. If the topic is interesting, it would be useful to conduct a creative activity with the children in advance and make souvenirs from it.

  1. Dress up

You can turn a garden party into a costume party even with little money. Elements of a themed costume for a teacher - headband, gloves, bow tie, vest, funny hats - are inexpensive and can be adapted to any theme. Involve the children's parents, agree in advance to come on the desired day in clothes that will be distinguished by color or thematic detail. This will be a surprise for the birthday boy and will create a unique atmosphere.

  1. Change what is easy to change

For example, music and games for congratulations. Even if “Loaf” is replaced with “Stream”, and instead of the song “Suddenly a wizard will fly in”, you include a melody from a fashionable cartoon, the holiday will already turn out to be unusual. Instead of a round dance, it’s quite easy to come up with a new dance with simple movements, in which all attention will be focused on the child who is having a holiday.

Congratulations should be divided by age. For example, children two to five years old like dancing and active games, and starting from the age of five, theatrical performances and funny master classes will be interesting.

Underwater rocks

It turned out that you can’t put any treats in the booth. Categorically. Even in individual packaging. Not only the teachers were against it, but also the nurse. I didn’t even check with the manager, having talked with other garden employees. Therefore, I was forced to give up candy and cakes. Instead, I bought a large bunch of balloons for the group. Each child, going home with their parents, received a gift. The children were happy, chose the color of the ball, and hurried outside. There were some surprises: our gifts burst for two kids. However, we immediately found a replacement, because I bought the balloons with a reserve. No one even had time to cry.

Another idea was to put a coloring book or sticker in each child’s booth. But I didn’t have time to find the required number of identical sets, and I didn’t give different things to three-year-old children. Everyone will think that someone else’s book is more interesting, and it’s not far from tears.

Birthday based on the cartoon “Three Cats”

You can apply Alina Khvostik’s advice and, for example, organize a birthday party for a fan of the popular cartoon “Three Cats”:

  • At the entrance we place a cat postcard, where the children draw congratulations.
  • We prepare orange balloons in advance to greet the birthday person in the group. If desired, draw cat faces on them.
  • As an element of a themed costume, a headband with orange cat ears and whiskers drawn with a safe pencil are suitable.
  • Congratulations to the birthday boy based on the plot of the cartoon “Three Cats”: the guys make a “wave” with their hands and sing along to “Miu-miu”.
  • We give a gift. For example, a stuffed cat.
  • We close the official part with the “kitten” dance, adapted to the age of the children.
  • We continue the fabulous day with a master class on appliqué for the red cat exhibition.

End of the holiday

After kindergarten, my son, his friend from the group, and my friend’s mother and I went to an amusement park. There, kids caught “fish” with magnetic fishing rods in a small pond and received prizes for their catch. We jumped on trampolines. We had fun in a dry pool with plastic balls. We took a ride on the children's train through the park.

In the evening we had a tea party at home, ordered a cake, and invited the grandparents. My son excitedly told me how cheerfully they congratulated him in kindergarten, how they blew bubbles and how they fed him pie. At the same time, he did not let go of the large red ball, which he had chosen for himself, and fell asleep with it.

What do mothers treat?

As a rule, mothers bring different sweets to kindergarten , but they do not contain dyes, synthetic substances or artificial flavors. What you can bring to the sweet table:

  • high-quality chocolate or sweets, fruits;
  • cookies, juice or fruit drink;
  • cake or pastries, juice;
  • shortbread pretzel with condensed milk, juice;
  • muffins, rolls, fruit, juice;
  • corn sticks, fruits;
  • children's cheese, fortified chocolate (buy at the pharmacy and read the ingredients);
  • fruit pizza;
  • meringue, gingerbread, fruit drink.

In some kindergartens, each child is given a small gift, purchased with money from the parental fund, or it is made by the teaching staff together with the children (postcards with wishes, drawings, a congratulatory poster, a medal and other homemade items). Of course, no one forgets about traditional round dances and ear twitching.

For primary school age

Older children will be attracted by the sections: online tests, online scanwords.
