Didactic game “Vegetables and fruits”
The purpose of the didactic game “Vegetables, Fruits” is to form an idea about garden and vegetable plants, the place and method of their growth, to consolidate in memory the correct names of fruits, to develop the ability to distinguish vegetables from fruits by external signs.
The middle group of kindergarteners plays an educational game.
For the lesson, you need to prepare models of trees and garden beds from dense material, and cut out recognizable images of fruits and vegetables.
The teacher lays out pictures of fruits in front of the children, asks them to name them, tell where they grow - on trees or garden beds. The students’ task is to correctly determine the place where the crop grows, attach it to a fake tree or place it on a garden bed.
Another version of the game is possible: the teacher places all the pictures on the tree, asks the children whether all the fruits are hanging correctly and which ones need to be moved to the garden.
For the older group of kindergarteners, you can complicate the task by offering:
- separate fruits and root vegetables by color;
- name the geometric shape of vegetables and fruits;
- ask what can be put in a dessert vase and what can be used to make a salad.
Didactic games for children 5-7 years old in kindergarten on a lexical topic: Vegetables, fruits
Didactic games for children of senior preschool age on the lexical topic “Vegetables, fruits.”
Author : Tushmakova Natalya Nikolaevna, kindergarten No. 203 “Alice” ANO DO “Childhood Planet “Lada” Description : This material can be used by teachers of senior and preparatory groups to reinforce material on the topic “Vegetables, fruits”.
Working in a kindergarten, whose priority area is speech development, in a group of children with special needs development, I create didactic games on lexical topics myself, based on my own experience and the experience of my colleagues. I would like to present to your attention my new products, which help me a lot when conducting educational activities and joint activities with children in my free time. D/i "Gather the Harvest"
— Guys, autumn has come, vegetables and fruits have ripened at the dacha, it’s time to harvest.
- There are 3 baskets in front of you: in the first basket we will collect fruits whose name has 1 syllable; in the second - in the name of which there are 2 syllables; in the third - 3 syllables.
— How can you check how many syllables are in a word? (slap the word; tap the pencil on the table; put your hand under your chin - the number of times your chin touches your hand, the number of syllables).
— Guys, which basket has more fruits? How many more vegetables and fruits are in the second basket than in the first? Etc.
D/i “Choose names for vegetables”
Children are asked to choose a name for the vegetables. A leader is selected using a counting table, who rotates the arrow in the center of the circle and selects a vegetable.
Children look at clothespins with the names of vegetables.
Reading children read the written names, non-reading children highlight the first sound in the word and look for a clothespin with the desired sound, which is highlighted in red.
D/i "Vegetables and fruits - healthy products"
The game has 2 options.
In the first version,
children are asked to divide the harvest into vegetables and fruits.
We put vegetables in a basket, put fruits under a tree.
In the second option,
children are asked to make a salad from vegetables, and juice from fruits.
Children name the resulting salad (cucumber salad - cucumber) and juice (pineapple juice - pineapple).
Further the task becomes more complicated. Juice from apple and pear - apple-pear, cabbage and carrot salad - cabbage-carrot.
Game "Come up with a riddle"
To reinforce the distinctive features of vegetables and fruits, children are asked to come up with riddles using algorithm class=”aligncenter” width=”629″ height=”472″[/img] For example: - This vegetable grows in a garden bed, it is triangular in shape, orange in color, sweet what does it taste like?
(carrot). — This fruit grows on a tree, it is oval-shaped, yellow, very sour, what is it? (lemon). Dear colleagues, thank you for your attention! I hope this material will help novice teachers in their work.

"Tops and Roots"
To consolidate knowledge about the way cultivated plants grow, you can play an outdoor game, for which you will need dummies or images of garden and garden fruits.
The teacher shows the picture, the children name the depicted fruit. When asked where it grows, they answer with physical actions:
- on a tree (fruit) - stretch their arms up;
- on the ground (vegetables) - stretch their arms forward;
- underground (root crops) – squat.
Picture of pasta, cereals and bulk products
Children love to draw - with their fingers on a foggy window, with chalk on the asphalt, with paints in an album. Drawing expresses connection with the outside world and develops the child’s own perception of reality. You can draw not only with paints or chalk. Pictures can be created from ordinary products that are found in every kitchen.
What you will need : semolina, coarse salt, various cereals (buckwheat, rice, beans, small pasta).
What develops : fine motor skills, perseverance, concentration, imagination, imaginative thinking, sense of beauty. Massages and trains fingers. Has a calming effect.
Option 1
Sprinkle flour, salt or semolina on a smooth surface (this could be a dish, a large plate, a cutting board or a silicone mat for rolling out dough) and invite your child to draw a pattern, geometric shapes or even a small picture with his finger.
Option 2
Pour into different containers and give your child breakfast cereals, cereals, cereals, beans and pasta in different shapes. Apply glue to paper or thick colored cardboard. Ask your child to glue the products together to create a picture. You can do without glue if you simply lay out the sun, house or tree on the table surface. Multi-colored pasta is perfect for this. It's fun to string holey pasta or corn rings onto twine or strong thread to create a necklace.
Sometimes, for fun, you can let your baby play with cooked pasta, spaghetti or noodles. Children love to squeeze them with their hands, watching how the pasta “worms” jump out between their fingers. Oddly enough, this game also develops motor skills, and through this stimulates the areas of the brain that are responsible for motor activity and coordination of movements.
Guess by description
A didactic game about fruits and vegetables is built in the form of questions and answers. The teacher names the signs, asks what vegetable he described, and the children must guess and answer. For example:
- red, round, juicy, fleshy (tomato);
- sharp, hot, white inside, with a yellow husk, with thin leaves (onions);
- green, oval, crispy, covered with pimples (cucumber);
- large, round, orange, with a thick crust, with healthy seeds (pumpkin);
- long, triangular, orange, grows in the ground, with curly greenery (carrot).
Kitchen "math"
This game will prepare your child for independent cooking. It's no secret how children love to tinker in the kitchen if they are not prohibited from doing so. It is especially inspiring for kids, and even older children, to work with dough, roll it out, cut it out, sculpt figures or decorate products. But we suggest you, while playing with your child, cook borscht, prepare a salad or compote. And not just guided by a recipe that is difficult for a small child to understand, but with the help of simple logic and mathematics.
What you will need : vegetables (for borscht - potatoes, carrots, beets, onions and other products; for salad - tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet peppers, depending on the recipe).
What develops : logical thinking, imagination, mental calculation.
The point of the game is to, together with your child, calculate how much food will be needed to prepare soup or salad. Place in front of your child the pre-washed and peeled vegetables that are needed to prepare borscht, and help him speculatively determine how many vegetables will be needed to make the soup tasty and enough to feed a family of three. In the same way, you can “guess” the amount of ingredients for a salad or compote.
Get an apple
During this game, children will enjoy competing with each other in dexterity. Grab your towels, get your stopwatch ready and get started. It will be fun!
What you will need : a wide bowl of water, apples.
What develops : agility, coordination of movements, muscle strength.
Pour water into a bowl or basin and place the apples in it. Children, one at a time, must remove the floating apple from the bowl without using their hands. The one who does it the fastest wins. If you are at the dacha, you can try another version of the game - for example, hanging apples on a cord. Although donuts would be more suitable for this fun competition game!
"Race" of fruits
You can not only catch fruits in your mouth without using your hands, but also roll them. And not with a foot, not with a hand, but... with a pencil. Well, or with a stick, for example. Give your children such a fun relay race, they will be delighted!
What you will need : apple or orange (potatoes to choose from), pencil.
What develops : agility, concentration, reaction speed, ability to work in a team, sense of competition. The players are divided into two teams. The goal of the game is to roll the fruit with a pencil from the start line to the finish line and in the opposite direction. Then the baton is passed to another player. The team that completes the task first wins. It can be complicated by small obstacles that the fruit needs to “overcome” along the way.
